Upload a prescription online — we'll prepare it for you

Send a clear photo of your prescription. A MediLane pharmacist checks it (within opening hours, usually under 30 minutes), confirms stock and the total with you, then we deliver across Karachi or have it ready at your branch.

  • Private — only our pharmacists see it
  • No payment until we confirm the total
  • Ask for a generic with the same salt if you prefer

How it works

What happens after you upload a prescription?

A pharmacist reviews it, checks stock at both branches, and calls or messages you with the total before anything is packed. Prescription-only medicines are dispensed only against a valid prescription, as Pakistani drug rules require.

  1. Upload or WhatsApp a photo

JPG, PNG or PDF. Make sure the doctor's name, date and medicines are readable.

  2. Pharmacist review

We check the prescription, stock at both branches and any brand or generic options.

  3. We confirm with you

A call or message with the total before anything is packed — no surprises.

  4. Delivery or pickup

Delivered across Karachi or ready to collect at Clifton or Gulshan-e-Iqbal.

What makes a prescription photo usable?

A clear, complete photo is the fastest route. These are the details the pharmacist needs to see.

Doctor and clinic

Doctor's name and registration or clinic stamp, clearly visible.

Patient and date

The patient's name and a recent date. Old prescriptions may need renewing.

Medicine, strength, directions

Each medicine with strength (e.g. 500 mg) and how it should be taken.

Readable photo

Whole page in frame, flat, no glare or shadows. PDF scans work too.

Questions

Prescription orders — your questions

How do I upload a prescription to MediLane?

Take a clear photo or scan of the prescription, then upload it on this page with your name and phone number. You can also attach it during checkout if your cart contains Rx medicines.

What makes a prescription valid?

It should show the doctor's name and registration or clinic details, the patient's name, the date, and the medicine names with strength and directions. Prescriptions that are unreadable, altered or too old may be declined.

Which file types can I upload?

JPG, PNG, WebP or PDF files. Keep the whole page in frame, avoid shadows and glare, and make sure the handwriting is readable.

How long does the pharmacist review take?

During opening hours most prescriptions are reviewed within about 30 minutes. We contact you by phone or message to confirm stock, options and the total before packing.

Can you give me a generic instead of the brand on my prescription?

Only with your agreement and when it is appropriate. The pharmacist will tell you if a generic with the same salt and strength is available and you choose. Some prescribers specify a brand, and we respect that.

Can I reuse a prescription for a repeat order?

For long-term medicines, a recent prescription that covers repeats can usually be reused. The pharmacist decides based on the date and the doctor's instructions, and may ask for a new one.

Who can see my prescription?

Only MediLane pharmacists, for dispensing and record keeping. Files are stored privately, never published and never used for marketing.

What if my prescription is rejected?

We explain why — for example an unclear photo or a missing date — and you can upload a better image or a new prescription. You are never charged for items we cannot dispense.

Rather talk it through first?

A pharmacist can tell you whether we stock your medicines and the generic options before you upload.
